Disable Weather Widget from Windows Settings

In Registry Editor, go to the location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoft. Then, right-click on the Microsoft key create a new one. Rename it to Dsh.

Right click on the new Dsh key and select New > DWORD (32-bit) value. Rename the new value to AllowNewsAndInterests. Then right-click on that value once more and select Edit.

Type 0 in the Value data field. Click OK to finalize the changes.

Once complete, you can close Registry Editor. After your PC restarts, the weather widget will no longer appear on your taskbar. Also, if you go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar, you will find that the Widget option is greyed out.

To restore the widget, you just need to delete the Dsh key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >> SOFTWARE >> Policies >> Microsoft >>.
