The art of comics in Zaragoza

International cartoonist Javi Fernández presents an exhibition of his illustrations at the INNSiDE Zaragoza Hotel

An exhibition with the art of internationally renowned cartoonist Javi Fernández opened today in the Aragonese capital.

The presentation and a subsequent sample of the exhibition will take place in the Hotel INNSiDE Zaragoza, promoters of cultural activities with the collaboration of the MilCó store and the GP Ediciones publishing house. This artistic exhibition will last until March 31.

The purpose of the exhibition is none other than to bring the talent of Javi Fernández, author of DC Comics and Marvel Comics and currently responsible for the series, closer to the Aragonese public. King’s Spawnwith which it broke records in the United States as the world’s best-selling comic book last year.

In this exhibition, Javi Fernández will display large format illustrations from his previous internship at DC and his King’s Spawn. One more step in the city of Zaragoza to bring the art of comics to the place it deserves, hand in hand with a world-class author.

The Catalan artist, currently based in Granada, will hold a press conference on Wednesday March 9 at 11:30 a.m. to inaugurate the exhibition.

Comic Strip Walk in Caja Rural Aragón!

In addition to the exhibition, Javi Fernández will be next Tuesday, March 8, at the Caja Rural de Aragón Foundation. The organization has planned a “Comic literary cycle of March” and activated a space “American comedy” in which it will star the cartoonist of King’s Spawn.

The conference scheduled at the Caja Rural de Aragón building in Zaragoza will begin at 6:00 p.m. The Granada-based Catalan cartoonist will speak with Marta Martínez, an illustrator and colorist who has worked for Marvel and DC Comics, among other publishers.
